It also covers PREVENTION, highlighting risk factors and suggesting ways to reduce the chances of having a stoke, DIAGNOSTIC TESTS and TREATMENT, reviewing the short and long term care of the stroke victim. The need for swift transfer to hospital following a stroke is emphasised. The significant improvements seen when patients are cared for by a team dedicated to stroke victims is emphasised.
