MAGPIES in an Australian garden.

Australian Magpies are highly intelligent and curious creatures. In the tree and sky images, the Magpie was sufficiently interested in the camera to allow a very close approach.

Technical details: images were taken with a Samsung NV3 digital camera (7.2 megapixels) using autofocus and natural light. Flash only used for shot against the sky. Handheld.
