Wollemia nobilis (Wollemi Pine)
Exceedingly rare and ancient tree. This specimen was photographed in a protected enclosure in the Australian National Botanic Gardens in Canberra. These trees can now be bought in some nurseries. The species takes its latin name from the
Wollemi National Park (in New South Wales, Australia) where it was discovered by David
Noble in 1994.
Technical details: images were taken with a Samsung NV3 digital camera (7.2 megapixels) using autofocus and natural light. Tripod.
