ORGANELLE DIAGRAM: NUCLEAR ENVELOPE: In this picture, the nuclear envelope can just be seen as a double layer. The nuclear envelope separates the interior of the nucleus (seen at left) from the rest of the cell. It is bridged by numerous nuclear pores and its outer layer is continuous with the membrane of the rough endoplasmic reticulum.
